Hello everyone! I am relocating to Dawson Creek with my family. I want to hear the good, the bad and the ugly about the place.

Cons
* Long winters.
* Cold winters
* Windy
* Flat
* Reputation for crack cocaine (Dawson Crack)
* Slaughter house near town means cows mooing at odd times
* Housing is more expensive than Quesnel
* Farmer mentality
* Christians

Pros
* Close to Grande Prairie (right on Alberta border), which has roughly the equivalent shopping of Prince George, but you save the PST/HST!
* People are really nice, and friendly
* Dawson Creek Fall Fair is a very well done festival, better suited for family than Billy Barker Days
* Northern lights are much prettier there than what you see in the Cariboo
* Greater job prospects
* Cleaner air
* Slaughter house near town means cheaper, good tasting meat
* Pretty yellow Canola fields during the summer
* Christians

It is a long way from Quesnel. Only been there once but it seemed okay.

Whoever the suspect(s) are, they might not live in Dawson Creek. They could just as easily be in Beaverlodge, or in Grande Prairie.
