Regional Districts

The following table lists the regional districts of British Columbia.  Click on the regional districts title to visit their official website.  Included in the table are the percentage of land area and the percentage of the total population of British Columbia.

You will notice that although the regional districts of Northern British Columbia make up 57.5% of the land mass, it only holds 8.3% of the provincal population.  There in lies the root cause of inequality between the heartland and the lower mainland.
